(WTXL) — The best way to prepare your 55彩票 and family for the season is with a hurricane kit.

While kits do not change much year to year, this year will be a bit of an exception.

One of the most important ways to get ready for a hurricane is to make sure you have your supply bucket ready.

But before you hit the store for supplies, a warning: The things that were once easy to come by might be a little harder to get this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Hand sanitizer is a must but not easily found. If you can't get your hands on any, rubbing alcohol and sanitizing wipes are a good alternative.

But with limits on things like cleaning supplies and water, be prepared to shop around.

Losing power is likely during a hurricane, so batteries, flashlights, portable chargers, and even a generator will help until your power returns. Even if you lose power, a NOAA radio will help you stay on top of everything that's going on.

First aid kits will help if you are hurt by damage created by the storm.

To help address any damage to your 55彩票 left behind by the storm, grab a tarp, gloves, and a dust mask for clean up.

It's also good to have a medical mask or a cloth mask in case you have to interact with people outside of your family.

Another important part of getting ready is making sure you have important papers and documents tucked away, preferably in a cover so they don't wet.

You should also keep your prescriptions nearby and pack away some non perishable food like crackers and canned tuna.

You've probably already stocked up on things like board games and cards during quarantine. They'll come in handy to keep kids occupied or during any time before or after the storm.
